TSE Cash Markets

On November 14, 2022, a representative from Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) spoke at the "ETF Industry Summit" hosted by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), part of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc.

TSE and NYSE announced a new agreement to support cross-border investment between Japan and the U.S. on September 22, 2022. At the New York event, as part of the marketing activities which are one of the key areas of collaboration in this agreement, the Director of TSE's ETF Market Development Department gave a presentation about ETF market trends in Japan and TSE's related activities.

At the event, ETF industry leaders from across the world offered their unique perspectives on each market, and attendees discussed the business and market opportunities in each region and best practices for entering the global markets.

Japan Exchange Group (JPX) and TSE are working to expand the ETF market as part of their initiatives on "facilitation of the cycle of corporate innovation/growth and asset formation" as set out in the Medium-Term Management Plan 2024. Through our collaboration with NYSE, JPX and TSE will continue to push forward with these efforts and contribute to further development of the capital markets in both Japan and the U.S.
