JSCC awarded Asia Risk’s “Clearing House of the Year”

Japan Securities Clearing Corporation has been awarded “Clearing House of the Year” in the “Asia Risk Awards 2024” sponsored by Asia Risk magazine.

The prize is given to a clearing house recognized as pursuing innovative initiatives in risk management and services for derivatives markets. JSCC received the award for its achievements for the fourth time.
JSCC received the award in recognition of the sophistication of its risk management by implementing, and smoothly migrating to, a new VaR margin calculation method for futures & options contracts in the listed products clearing service, in November 2023, as well as the March 2024 enhancement collateral burden mitigation effect to include 3 month TONA futures contracts in the cross margin functionality in the IRS Clearing Service.

While continuing to reinforce basic functions as a CCP through sophistication of risk management and enhancement of convenience and safety of clearing & settlement, JSCC continues to strive to accommodate clearing service users’ needs precisely to offer clearing services that are responsive to their needs.
